Incept Me
School is starting tomorrow. I’m kind of in denial right now because I have an extreme aversion to anything related to school. I’ve been freaking out ever since I came to the realization that school would be starting on August the 20th. And by ‘freak out’, I don’t mean I’ve been running screaming “NOO SCHOOL IS STARTING MY LIFE IS OVER!”. I’ve just been stuck in this phase I’d like call ‘whatever mode’ where I’m all like whatevezzz it’s cool but inside, I’m like omgomgomg I’m going to quit school, just screw the educational system because I’m going to become a nun.I’ve been spending my final week as a free human doing very enlightening things such as:
1) Having ‘How I Met Your Mother’ marathons
2) Eating…food
3) Ringing the doorbell really loudly to get the neighbour’s dog to bark
4) Contemplating eating the neighbour’s dog because he looks like a wad of cotton candy
5) Having Harry Potter wand duels with my dad using our iPhones
Plus today, I watched ‘Inception’ in the theaters and it was pretty amazing. I thought I was going to get really confused as most Christopher Nolan movies tend to have that effect on me but it was surprisingly confusion-free for most parts. The movie really gets you thinking about what’s real and what’s not. I mean, for all we know, we could be living in a dream. At the end of the movie, I was like WHERE AM I? WHAT IS THIS? AM I DREAMING ABOUT DREAMING ABOUT WATCHING INCEPTION OR AM I REALLY WATCHING INCEPTION OR IS THIS MOVIE A DREAM WHERE IM DREAMING ABOUT BEING IN THE CINEMA DREAMING ABOUT WATCHING A MOVIE WHERE PEOPLE GO INTO PEOPLES DREAMS.
Even before watching ‘Inception’, I’ve had thoughts of whether I might be living in a dream. There was this once when I had the idea that I might actually be in a coma and I’m living in a dream that I’m having while in a comatose state. So one day I’ll wake up and years have gone by and there’s this big chunk of my life that never existed.
So anyway I’m going to go to sleep now because it’s Doomsday aka First Day of School tomorrow. Hopefully, when I go to bed, I’ll either wake up to a better reality or be trapped in a dream where everything is really awesome.
aww.. i got the first-day back to school bug too
but that was two weeks ago.. lol
how was your first day? (asuming you read this when you get back…)
I loved Inception! the concept! the way it made you think, the way it made you reconsider everything it means to be human or real!
good luck with school

Oh school… I’m not even sure where I’m going to school next/this year so where my summer vacation ends is kind of uncertain. If I stay in the UK it ends sometime in September (don’t be jealous, catch was that we concluded the year rather late) but if I move, God only knows. In fact, I think it started this week although I only got my acceptance letter half way through the first week and I’m not even in the same country, continent as that school yet. Our family= supreme organization.
Harry Potter duels with iPhones? Must be in those 100 things to do before you die… Too bad our household only has one. I should go out on the streets and just challenge passerby to a duel.
I have yet to see Inception. I’m not even sure when I plan to make room for this. Last time this sort of “sensational” movie came out, Avatar, I needed the help of web-friends to go experience some culture. Although I think it’ll provide a nice bit of healthy brain-twistering for me, I doubt I’ll have moments of shock and disbelief about dreams and life and where they meet. Because I rarely have dreams that I can remember so they hardly effect me.
Good luck with the closing comment! I’m sure if you hope hard enough, someone up there may relent!
I don’t usually wear this sort of thing out in public. If I’m going anywhere in my day-to-day boring life, contemplating eating fluffy dogs, I’ll put on some concealer, eyeliner, lip gloss. You may be talking about either foundation or some sort of tinter moisturizer. I use to have this HUGE aversion to anything to put on the eye area. Eyeliner pencils DO look like the sort of thing that would perfectly suit an emo-kid lifestyle. You get “the look” and the pain in one two second make-over! At first with anything to the eye, I swear I was getting these really subtle but slowly reddening bumps but as usual I was over-reacting. But it taught me to be careful with things and not to use liquid eyeliner at all. Perhaps, you’re having an odd reaction to it? Or whatever makeup company that sold you the products some how has some sort of natural and compelling hate against you without knowing you. Umm…possible?

Everyone keeps talking about inception; i feel like I should watch it but i probably won’t.
Isn’t August 20 a bit early for school? Mine doesn’t start until the 31st which is nice. I hope I don’t freak out when school comes because I’m kind of in that whatevezz zone too except i’m not freaking.

HEY RAINIE.
I’m so sorry for the late-ish reply; I took a day off… Well, a couple of days off Internet and things. I was meant to reply three days ago, so um sorry. Just ignore this paragraph, it’s completely useless, lol.
Good luck at school, I hope you have great days learning (HAHA, funny.). ^_^ I’m going back to school on the 3rd of September! Im totally dreading it, there are loads of idiots at my school, so you know? I really don’t want to go back!! >:(
Eating food … Um, that’s all I have been doing all holidays! Haha.
I’m getting very fat… *pokes belly* Ah, the joys of iPhones and iPods!
YOU CAN DO ANYTHING… Wooten for Harry Potter… I guess hehe.
Yeah, i had a dream once that I was in a coma and what I was dreaming of was living another life in the dream and it gets confusing when in my “dream life” I get another coma and then wake up in reality finding out everything is a dream… Hehe. It’s confusing, you may not get it — I don’t, that much. LOL.
I haven’t seen that movie, there’s that other movie called …ugh, I forgot. Something island. Anyway, the story is there’s a mental guy (played by Leonardo Decaprio) who lives in a mental island and he thinks he’s a police man (the hero). Throughtout the whole movie you believe he’s a police man until the end where he actually ends up being the mental patient. And he’d been living a life as a police man for three years… It’s creepy, I think if you google Leonardo you’ll find the movie, it’s something island. It’s just like the whole coma thing, it’s pretty scary though haha.
I’m so glad you understand, I guess the only people who understand me are people who came from abroad and had to learn English and another language. I feel kind of bad how I don’t know perfect English when I’ve been living in England for years and plus only a bit of Tagalog when that’s my native language. :@ Thanks though; I feel much better. *hugs Rainie*
Take care honey.

aw that stinks that school’s starting for you!
we don’t start until september here. hope everything went well on your first day!
:D
hahaha your summer activities do sound enlightening xD i have been doing the same stuff only i haven’t been trying to eat my neighbour’s dog (i think). i’ve been lying around doing nothing for 7 weeks
loved inception! most of christopher nolan’s films kinda confuse me too. the only one that wasn’t THAT confusing was prolly the dark knight? or inception. inception was really good. i watched it a couple of weeks ago and it was really great. there were some parts that you have to try and figure out after you watch it but the other stuff wasn’t confusing
that would be really weird if we were in a coma and this isn’t really real! i’ve never really thought about it but now that you bring it up. after watching inception, i was just kind of doubting what’s real and what’s not, sort of like the way you did. like what is real what isn’t? is this a dream? stuff like that
anywaaayyyyy good luck with school and i love your site and blogs <3
