I miss last year

We started school yesterday, ‘officially’. The people in my class are kind of randoms from other class. The higher up mixed everyone up so basically no one from my old class is in my new one apart from my friend, which is a relief considering how I know absolutely no one in my new class. No one talks to each other and just sticks to one of their friends. So the whole atmosphere is sort of awkward. Our class used to be really close, so it’s a big difference. The thing is that, everyone is so different, they can’t relate to each other, nor do they bother.

Many teachers have left the school as well. Including my favourite teacher, who I liked because he knew alot about the world and he taught us well. It was one of the few classes where I actually learnt something and enjoyed. A lot of the other classes, I either fell asleep from the boredom or the information comes right in through my ears but doesn’t get into the brain, so it just slips right out the other ear.

Sometimes it feels like you’re growing up too fast, and it’s kind of depressing when that happens. Because I have no idea as to how the future is going to be like and I guess I’m scared of what lies ahead. Some people like growing up because of the freedom but I’m one of those people who enjoy being under the wing of my parents. This is why I hate birthdays, because you’re a year older and that means that you’re just a few years from approaching the age where you’re considered mature enough (like in a literal sense) to be an adult. And, yeah. Like I’d ever carry the responsibilities of an adult. I would hate being treated like an adult when even now as a teenager, everyone outside is treating me like one even though I’m what, like 14. Just because I’m tall doesn’t mean I’m 21 years old, this is a message to the my dad’s friend who gave me his business card thinking that I was eligible to do business with him.

Seriously?

Teenagers usually feel infinite, as if there are no problems in life, but I’m not naive enough to believe that stuff, this is a result of too much Googling. The less you know, the better. I used to talk a lot and embarrass myself because I couldn’t feel embarrassment. Now that I can, I stop talking in order to give the impression that I don’t slip up and that nothing I say will be used against me. Like those people who are like “Oops, I murdered someone. Did I say that out loud?”.

Added a Paisley brush set to the Brushes section.

I’m sorry that your favorite teacher is not there anymore. That’s life. I too like being under the wings of my parents. I am an adult now - a very independent one too. But I don’t like the feeling of being “on my own”.

Yes the goldfish I was talking about are the crackers. I love them!

Haha dude that’s awesome that you don’t swear at all! Sometimes I try that, and I actually succeed… but since everyone around me does it’s so easy to get back into the habit, you know? =/ Good for you though. :D

I went back to school last week as well… I’m sorry that you lost your favorite teacher. :( We lose teachers to our other two campuses a lot too, so I kind of get how you feel. I hope that you make new friends in your class!

I am completely with you on the growing up too fast thing. I’m really reluctant to leave my childhood behind.

Wow, a start of a new school year? don’t worry about that, maybe they’re still adjusting. You’ll just see that after a few weeks all of you will act like a whole one class. :)

oh, that’s bad. I guess that teacher found a new opportunity. Let’s just be happy for him. Although you will miss his lectures,

Yeah, he travels a lot so he doesn’t stay at school for a long time. Which is why he’s good with the subject, since it’s mostly about culture, history and stuff like that :P But it’s pretty cool that he has the opportunity to experience the culture in so many different countries.

They’re more classes than lectures - isn’t lectures for like university D:

I don’t start school for about another two weeks, and it’s a coincidence that both of us have a lot of teachers leaving. We got a new ‘headteacher’ (or principal as they call it in other places) last year, and a lot of the teachers didn’t like him and his changes so many of them are leaving.

Yeah, I miss the old days. I feel like I’m growing up so fast. Next year is a very important year of school xD I’m gonna be revising constantly. Urgh >.<

    Cool brush set ^^

sorry to hear that about your class |: I’m sure as the year goes on your class will be more…interactive :3

yes definitely I feel I am growing up too fast! I’m going to be 18 in a month, and it feels just like yesterday when I was starting high school at 14. so weird.

yes the less you know is better. ignorance is bliss? the world is full of evil thoughts and evil people T-T its best to live in your own world with your friends and loving happy thoughts sometimes :3

When I first started high school, I was at an alternative school with an emphasis on science and technology, so I didn’t really know anyone in any of my classes either, and it was a bit awkward in the beginning, but when you’re around these people all the time, you will make connections and will make some new friends, don’t worry about that!

As for growing up, I know it’s scary. Believe me, in just a few days, I’ll be living somewhere else other than home for the first time… and it’s pretty terrifying, but if your parents do the right kind of parenting, they will make it easier for you when it is your time to leave, because they will have taught you many of life’s lessons by the time you leave, and make you feel more comfortable. Believe me, my parents have also said that if I ever need to come home, I’m always welcome. :]

Huh, at my school it seems like there is such a fascination with new kids! I guess you’re right; it must depend on if you’re lucky enough to have a lot of talkative people in your class.

Oh geez, that’s so annoying when people swear literally every other word. That is just wayyyy too excessive.

There’s a tutorial on it on YouTube, you should search according to your iPhone model and the OS you’re using. I’m using a Mac and a 3GS so the tutorial I’m following may not work that well for you :P

If you need to get it fixed then you probably have to restore your phone, they won’t know that you’ve jailbroken it. I don’t really have a problem with that since I don’t send my products back to Apple anyway, they kind of suck at fixing stuff. I just send it over to the electronic store or school.

dude, im nearly 20 and don’t plan on leaving home any time soon lol. i just know im not ready to. ive never had a class like that (b/c mostly i chose to just not talk to anyone) but i can imagine your disappointment. I know alot of my highschool classes I feel were a waste of my life but growing up is really fun :) don’t be scared, embrace it. Any intelligent person does not expect you to grow up over night. Even 25 year olds are still trying to figure out the adult thing :D We’ve been under a guardian for like 18 years so snapping out of that mentality is gonna take a while :P

As for the guy who gave you a business card…seriously lol? No, really, seriously. XD He’s adorable lol.

School has only just begun - who knows, you might end up liking one of your current teachers as time progresses. Looking 21 when you’re 14 isn’t all that bad. :P At least you don’t look underage! XD

Just wait until you become a legal adult.. it’s like, “Hello responsibility, want a piggy back ride?” And responsibility weighs like.. 500 pounds..

But don’t worry. School will get better. And you’ll make more friends.. I know it.
    Good luck!

I know what you mean, im 14 and i hate the thought of turning 18 and having no one to back up on. That’s why i make sure i do good in school, if i do bad in a test i freak out, think it’s the end of the world and assume that i’ll end up being poor and have a crappy job .. oh i worry too much! haha, good luck in your new class, i know it’s hard to associate with new people, but you’re bound to find something in common with them!
