What You’ll Get
- A sub-domain (you.memorylast.net) or (memorylast.net/you)
- An e-mail account (you@memorylast.net) that you can access through an e-mail cPanel.
- Unlimited space. I will only e-mail you if the space you’re eating up gets out of hand.
- Unlimited bandwidth
- An FTP account and password
- An MySQL database for you to install scripts. Keep in mind that one database can be used for many scripts.
- PHP support
- I will help you install any scripts you need (Wordpress, Cutenews, Coppermine, etc.)
- Your site will automatically be backed up everyday in case of file loss
- I will be there to help you if you have any problems regarding your site
Read before Applying
- General knowledge of coding HTML and CSS. You should have the ability to at least code your own layout. I can teach you PHP if you don’t know how to use it
- You should be able to have a basic understanding of how FTP works as this is what you’ll be using to transfer your files from your computer to your website. If you’re a beginner to the whole FTP scene, I’m willing to help you
- Own a professional graphics program such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Free programs such as GIMP are fine too, as long as you’re not using MS Paint for graphic-purposes other than pixelling.
- I will help you install scripts or fix problems, as long as you don’t abuse this help. I’m not a 24 hour help service and I would like if you could try and solve your own problems and search things up before asking for my help.
- At least 3 decent examples of your work, both graphics and coding wise
- 3rd party advertisements such as Google ads, Linkbucks, etc. and similar mediums are not allowed. You may, however, ask people to pay for advertising on your site
- Link to Memorylast somewhere on your site, if not every page, at least somewhere in the credits
- Pornographic or explicit content displayed on your site is forbidden.
- You should be expected to update every once and again. I’m not expecting you to upload loads of content, at least blog every week or show some sign that you’re still alive.
- If you decide to go on hiatus or close down your site, please contact me instead of disappearing all of a sudden. I will start to wonder whether you’ve abandoned your site completely if you’ve been gone for a long time
- If you have been accepted, I will e-mail you regarding the details such as what you want your FTP user and password to be, scripts you want install and where, etc. After that, I will help you set everything up. Once this process is done, you should start setting up your own site, and if there are any questions or if you need anything installed or help during this time, e-mail me and I will be glad to sort things out
